Frequently asked questions

What you should know about aupa and the beta phase — answered briefly.

What is aupa?
aupa is a sports community app that lets you find, rate and add public sports courts, playgrounds and outdoor fitness areas on a map. You can also organize games and tournaments and meet other players near you.
Which places can I add to aupa?
Anything where you do sports outdoors: basketball and football pitches, tennis and volleyball courts, skateparks, table tennis tables, playgrounds, and calisthenics and outdoor fitness areas. Anyone can add new spots with location, sports, photos and opening hours, and update existing entries.
How can I rate sports spots?
You rate each spot from 1 to 5 stars, plus in individual categories such as cleanliness, equipment and safety. You can also add a free-text comment and your own photos so others know exactly what to expect.
What does aupa cost?
aupa is currently in a free, closed beta phase. If you join the beta, you use the app for free during the test.
How do I get beta access?
Send us a short message with your name and favorite sport through the contact form on this page. We will get back to you as soon as a spot in the beta opens up.
Which devices is aupa available for?
aupa is being developed for iOS and Android. You will receive access to the beta version from us after your request.
How does checking in at a spot work?
When you check in, you confirm via GPS that you are really on site. That way others can see how many people are playing at a place right now — and you collect XP for your level.
